About Namitha

Born and raised in Kurichi, Real name Namita M Vankawala, studied at Ratnam Arts College, Surat. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a housewifeShe is a Taurean, stands six foot (6) tall and weighs about 65 kilos .
Namitha was a model before entering into the film industry. She rocked the fashion industry during her time. She became famous after ending up in fourth place in the Femina Miss India competition.
She made her film debut with a telugu film Sontham opposite Aryan Rajesh. Then she got a chance opposite Venkatesh for the film Gemini. But both the films turned down at the Box Office. Namitha switched to Tamil movies.
She became famous with film Engal Anna opposite Vijay Kanth. She also acted in a song opposite Sarath kumar in the film Aai which became a very big hit and brought her many offers in Tamil.
She was taken in the Films totally for her skin show and she accepts that fact. Her name was Bhairavi for a couple of telugu movies. She was awarded the title Miss Surat for the year 1998. She also acted in a English movie Maya directed by Eric Manning.
